Jannik Sinner cruised to victory in his opening match at the Australian Open
Today in Melbourne, Australia, the Australian Open, one of the most esteemed tennis tournaments globally, began. In one of the early matches in the men’s competition, the fourth-ranked player worldwide, Italian Jannik Sinner, took on the 59th-ranked Dutch player, Botic van de Zandschulp.
The match lasted 2 hours and 35 minutes, with Sinner emerging victorious by winning all three sets.
In the first set, Sinner served four aces, had a double fault, but managed to secure all five games on his serves. Winning an additional game after van de Zandschulp’s serve, he closed the set with a score of 6-4.
