Stephen Loman departs from Team Lakay
MANILA, Philippines—Yet another member of Team Lakay, Stephen Loman, has officially parted ways with the camp, adding to the growing list of fighters who have left the Benguet-based team.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Loman shared that he had a heartfelt conversation with coach Mark Sangiao on January 9, 2024, expressing his gratitude for the guidance that contributed to his growth as a fighter. Loman stated that after discussing his desire to leave the team, Sangiao agreed and graciously wished him luck in his future endeavors.
The 28-year-old emphasized that leaving Team Lakay does not mark the end of his MMA career. As the current No. 2-ranked bantamweight in ONE Championship, Loman affirmed his commitment to continuing his career under the promotion, which has been supportive since his debut.
Loman, also known as “the Sniper,” holds a professional record of 17 wins, three losses, and zero draws. In ONE Championship, he boasts a strong 3-1 win-loss record. This move follows the departure of other notable fighters, including former ONE champions Eduard Folayang, Joshua Pacio, Kevin Belingon, and Honorio Banario, who left Team Lakay last year.
