The Hockey Champions League finalists have been announced
The semi-final matchups in the hockey Champions League have concluded, featuring Finnish team Lukko against Swiss team Servette and Swedish team Skellefteå facing Vítkovice from the Czech Republic.
In the Lukko vs. Servette series, the first match ended in a 2-2 draw. Lukko initially took a comfortable lead with two goals in the first period. However, Servette mounted a comeback towards the end of the second period, scoring two goals within a minute courtesy of Filppula and Vatanen. Veteran Filppula secured Servette’s victory with his third goal early in the third period. The Swiss team won the series 5-4, advancing to the final.

In the semi-final series between Skellefteå and Vítkovice in the hockey Champions League, the second match ended with a score of 1-2 in favor of Vítkovice. In the first match, the Swedish team had won 4-2. Skellefteå took an early lead in the second game with a goal scored in the sixth minute. However, Vítkovice managed to equalize in the middle of the second period and secured another goal early in the third period. Despite the Czech team’s efforts to bring intrigue to the series, Skellefteå maintained a minimal advantage with a 5-4 total score, advancing to the final.
As a result, the final match of the hockey Champions League will feature Servette from Switzerland against Skellefteå from Sweden. The game is scheduled to take place in Geneva on February 20th.
