In a dramatic Game 7 showdown of the Eastern Conference first-round playoff series, the Boston Bruins emerged victorious over the Toronto Maple Leafs with a 2-1 overtime win on Saturday night, courtesy of David Pastrnak’s heroics just 1:54 into the extra frame.

Pastrnak’s decisive goal came as he swiftly maneuvered up the right wing, capitalizing on a fortuitous bounce off the corner boards from defenseman Hampus Lindholm’s shot. Pastrnak expertly tucked a backhander past Toronto goaltender Ilya Samsonov, sealing the Bruins’ advancement to the second round.

Lindholm, who played a pivotal role throughout the game, notched Boston’s lone regulation goal just 1:21 after William Nylander opened the scoring for Toronto in the third period.
