The Penguins hold the record with a 17-game streak in 1992-93, while the Columbus Blue Jackets achieved a 16-game win streak in 2016-17.

Calvin Pickard, in his 100th NHL start, secured his fifth career shutout and first since 2018 as the Edmonton Oilers continued their impressive streak, allowing two goals or fewer in 13 consecutive games. Connor McDavid extended his home point streak to 17 games, notching his 53rd career multi-goal game, while Leon Draisaitl contributed three assists, and Zach Hyman also found the net. Petr Mrazek made 31 saves for the Chicago Blackhawks, who matched their franchise record with a 19th consecutive road loss, a mark set in 2004. The Blackhawks’ last road victory was on Nov. 9 against Tampa Bay, winning 5-3.

In an overtime thriller, Dallas secured a 4-3 victory against Anaheim, extending their winning streak against the Ducks to 11 consecutive games. Thomas Harley netted the game-winner just 38 seconds into the extra period, with Miro Heiskanen contributing the tying goal in the third period.

Additional goals for Dallas came from Matt Duchene and Craig Smith, while Jake Oettinger made 18 saves in goal. Heiskanen, returning from a ten-game absence due to a lower-body injury, made a significant impact.

For Anaheim, Urho Vaakanainen, Troy Terry, and Jakob Silfverberg found the back of the net. John Gibson, making 40 saves, couldn’t prevent Anaheim from slipping to a 3-7-1 record since December 29. Silfverberg had a goal and an assist, and Isac Lundestrom tallied two assists for the Ducks.

Montreal secured a 4-3 victory over the Islanders, with Sean Monahan scoring his second goal to break the tie with just 2:12 remaining. The Canadiens spoiled a visit from the recently appointed coach and franchise legend, Patrick Roy.

In the first period, Montreal gained a 3-0 lead with goals from Nick Suzuki, Cole Caulfield, and Monahan. Goaltender Sam Montembeault played a pivotal role, making 43 saves to help the Canadiens end a three-game losing streak.

Despite New York’s efforts with goals from Bo Horvat, Mathew Barzal, and Kyle Palmieri, they fell to a 1-2-0 record under Coach Roy. Barzal, Palmieri, and Horvat each contributed an assist, but the Islanders are currently struggling with a 1-5-1 run. Noah Dobson provided three assists, and Semyon Varlamov made 22 saves in the losing effort.

Detroit secured a 3-0 home victory over Philadelphia, with Alex Lyon making 30 saves to earn his third career shutout and second since joining the Red Wings as a free agent last summer. Dylan Larkin, Moritz Seider, and Andrew Copp scored the goals for Detroit, which has an impressive 8-2-1 record in their last 11 games. Lucas Raymond contributed with two assists.

Despite outshooting their opponents 30-17, Philadelphia suffered their fourth consecutive regulation loss. Samuel Ersson, the Flyers’ goaltender, made 14 saves in the game.

Boston emerged victorious over Ottawa with a 3-2 overtime win, sealed by Brad Marchand’s decisive goal at 1:48 of the extra period. The game-winning play unfolded after Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman made his 35th and final save on a shot from Tim Stutzle. Charlie Coyle then delivered a cross-ice pass to Marchand, who capitalized with a snapshot to secure the win.

In St. Paul, Minnesota, Nashville secured a 3-2 victory over the Wild by scoring all three of its goals in the third period. Roman Josi, with a goal and an assist, led the Predators, who halted a two-game losing streak. Alexandre Carrier and Filip Forsberg also contributed goals, with Ryan O’Reilly registering two assists.

For Minnesota, Joel Eriksson Ek and Matt Boldy each found the back of the net. Kirill Kaprizov provided two assists for the Wild, but their three-game winning streak came to an end against Nashville.

Columbus secured a 5-2 victory over Calgary with Alexandre Texier’s short-handed goal in the second period playing a pivotal role. Yegor Chinakhov, Damon Severson, and Adam Fantilli each contributed a goal and an assist, while Dmitri Voronkov also found the net for the Blue Jackets, breaking a two-game losing streak. Goaltender Daniil Tarasov made 28 saves to secure the win for Columbus, currently situated at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division.

Calgary saw goals from MacKenzie Weegar and Connor Zary, but their struggles continued with a fourth consecutive loss, all in regulation and all at home. Goalie Jacob Markstrom made 27 saves in the effort.
