In a recent game, Chicago’s rising star, Connor Bedard, suffered a broken jaw
Chicago Blackhawks’ young sensation, Connor Bedard, faced an unfortunate injury in a recent game against the New Jersey Devils, where he took a hit to the jaw from defenseman Brendan Smith during the first period. The 18-year-old, who was the 2023 first overall draft pick, might miss the upcoming All-Star Game scheduled for February 3-4. In response to Bedard’s injury, Chicago forward Nick Foligno confronted Smith, leading to a second-period fight. Unfortunately, Foligno ended up with a broken finger on his left hand.
Bedard, who signed a three-year rookie contract with the Blackhawks on his 18th birthday, made his NHL debut on October 10, 2023, and scored his first NHL goal the next day in a game against the Boston Bruins.
