The promising Lille defender moves to Juventus. Everything has already been agreed upon by the clubs

Lille’s defender Tiago Djalo, who also represents the Portuguese youth national team, is set to join Juventus. The Italian club will be making a payment of €3.5 million for the player, and the contract includes a clause stipulating a ten percent compensation in case of Djalo’s resale. Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the contract is valid until June 2028.

Sources indicate that there is already a verbal agreement between the clubs, and official contracts are currently being prepared. The 23-year-old player is expected to undergo a medical examination in Turin on Wednesday.

Tiago Djalo developed through the youth systems of Portuguese clubs Metralhas and Damaiense before joining Sporting Lisbon’s academy in 2013. His debut for Sporting’s reserve team in the Portuguese Second League took place in February 2018, marking the beginning of his professional career. In his inaugural season with Sporting B, Djalo participated in twelve matches, scoring one goal.

In the winter transfer window of 2019, Djalo made a €1 million move to AC Milan. After featuring in thirteen matches for Milan’s youth team, he subsequently transferred to Lille for €4 million.

Djalo’s tenure at the French club has seen him amass a total of 102 appearances, during which he scored three goals and provided one assist.
