Manchester United Announces Leadership Changes: Interim CEO and CFO to Depart

Manchester United revealed a shift in its leadership structure on Tuesday. Interim CEO Patrick Stewart and CFO Cliff Baty will step down at the conclusion of the current season.

A period of transition will follow, with Jean-Claude Blanc assuming the interim CEO position until the arrival of Omar Berrada on July 13th. Berrada was officially appointed CEO back in January. Roger Bell will also be joining the team, taking over the CFO role from the departing Cliff Baty.

These changes suggest Manchester United is planning for the future while ensuring stability in the short term. The appointment of an interim CEO allows for a smooth handover to the permanent CEO, Omar Berrada, who will have time to settle into the role before the new season begins. The change in CFO also brings in fresh leadership for the financial aspects of the club.

While the reasons for Stewart and Baty’s departure haven’t been made public, Manchester United is clearly looking to make strategic adjustments to its leadership team as they head into a new chapter.
