United States international goalkeeper Zack Steffen, aged 28, has officially transferred from Manchester City to Major League Soccer’s Colorado Rapids. The move includes a three-year contract for Steffen, who served as a backup at City, accumulating 21 appearances over four seasons, primarily in cup competitions.

During his time with Manchester City, Steffen also had loan spells with German club Fortuna Dusseldorf and English Championship club Middlesbrough.

With 29 appearances for the United States national team, Steffen aims to secure regular playing time in the MLS, hoping it will enhance his chances of reclaiming a starting position ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The USA is set to co-host the tournament with Mexico and Canada.
