Liverpool Reportedly Nears Deal with Sporting’s Amorim for Managerial Role
Speculation surrounding Ruben Amorim’s potential departure from Sporting continues to escalate, with reports emerging of a purported verbal agreement between the Portuguese coach and Liverpool. According to Florian Plettenberg, a transfer expert at Sky Sports, discussions between Amorim and the Reds have progressed, indicating a potential shift in managerial leadership at Anfield.
Amorim, highly regarded within the footballing sphere, emerges as the frontrunner to succeed Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, with negotiations between the parties currently underway. Should the agreement come to fruition, Amorim would embark on his maiden coaching venture abroad, signing a three-season contract that binds him to the Reds until 2027.
