Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, aged 30, expressed his delight at being reunited with former Tottenham teammate Eric Dier, aged 29, who recently signed with the German club. Following Kane’s goal – his 22nd in the league this season from just 16 games – in Bayern’s 3-0 victory over Hoffenheim, he pledged to assist Dier in settling into the team.

Having played alongside Dier for an extended period at both Spurs and for the England national team, Kane spoke highly of his former teammate, stating, “I’ve known Eric for a long time, played with him for a long time, and I know what a great player he can be for us.”

Kane emphasized Dier’s happiness and excitement about joining Bayern Munich, concluding, “He’s obviously really happy and excited, and we’re happy to have him.”

Eric Dier has signed with the German champions until the summer, with reports suggesting that the club holds an option for a one-year extension. Despite not being included in the match-day squad for Friday’s game, Dier observed the match from the stands.

Harry Kane, who has been performing well since making the move to Bayern Munich in August, expressed optimism about Dier’s integration into the team, saying, “Hopefully, he settles right in.”

“He’s a good guy; he’ll put his head down and integrate into the team,” remarked the England captain. Having initially resided in a hotel in Munich for the first few months, he has moved with his family to a villa on the city’s outskirts. The captain told reporters he is “slowly but surely getting into a nice routine.”

“This is our home now. We want to make it as special as possible, not just for me but for my wife as well,” stated Harry Kane, emphasizing the desire to create a meaningful and comfortable environment in Munich.

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel expressed his expectations for Eric Dier to make an appearance in the club’s next match, which is at home against Werder Bremen on January 21. Tuchel praised Dier, highlighting his personality, professionalism, character, and experience, noting that he will be a valuable addition to their defense.
