Girona striker has been awarded La Liga Player 2024

This month’s La Liga Player of the Month is Artem Dovbyk, a forward with Girona. In December, the Ukrainian striker was named the league’s best player.

Dovbyk won more votes than Rodrigo (Real Madrid), Inaki Williams (Athletic Bilbao), Alvaro Valles (Las Palmas), and Borja Mayoral (Getafe).

The Ukrainian scored four goals in four La Liga games last month. During this time Girona won four of the five league games.

The forward for the Ukrainian national team has scored 11 goals in 18 La Liga games since joining the Catalan team. The forward is presently ranked fourth in the league’s top scorers’ chart, after Borja Mayoral (Getafe), Álvaro Morata (Atlético), and Jude Bellingham (Real).

In the summer, Dovbyk, who is 26 years old, moved from Dnipro-1 to Girona. For the prolific forward, the Catalan club had to pay somewhat less than eight million euros.

Due to the forward’s goal-scoring ability, a number of elite teams, including Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, have reportedly expressed interest in signing him.
