Upon finalizing the agreement, Sacha conveyed his enthusiasm, remarking:
“This is truly a dream come true for me. It’s a tremendous privilege to be a part of such an immense club like Bayern. I eagerly anticipate joining my new teammates and the chance to share the field with these exceptional players down the line. As a player, I am a defender with a penchant for attacking, and I am equally delighted to contribute to both offensive and defensive aspects of the game.”
Following the deal between the player and the club, Bayern’s sporting director, Christoph Freun, described the newly acquired player:
“Sacha Boey is an extremely speedy and robust right-back who consistently covers a substantial portion of the field in each match and is not hesitant to engage in tackles. He gained popularity among the fans at Galatasaray, showcasing significant improvement over time. Boey brings valuable experience from competing in the Champions League and clinched the championship title with Galatasaray last season. His addition will elevate the overall quality of our defense.”
Jan-Christian Dreesen, the CEO of Bayern Munich, also expressed contentment regarding the new player:
“We are delighted to have secured a long-term deal with Sacha Boey, a young player with immense potential. His impressive performance in both Champions League matches against us caught our attention. This acquisition not only increases the depth of our squad but also enhances its overall quality.”
Sacha Boey progressed through the ranks of various French clubs, including Rennes, where he initiated his professional career. In 2021, he made a move to the Turkish club for €1.2 million. Although the specific terms of the current agreement remain undisclosed, Transfermarkt estimates the player’s contract to be valued at €22 million.
