Following the Christmas break, numerous teams are gradually resuming preparations for the upcoming MLS season, and Inter Miami is no exception.

Engaging actively in the transfer market, David Beckham’s team has significantly expanded its roster with several notable players. One of the recent additions to the American club is none other than Luis Suárez.

As a result, the composition of Inter Miami’s training sessions, considering the players on the field, is reminiscent of Barcelona’s squad from 2014 to 2020. The MLS team already features four former Blaugrana players: Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Luis Suárez.

All these players are revered legends of the Catalan club, dedicating many years of their careers to Barcelona. Luis Suárez played for Barcelona from 2014 to 2020, Jordi Alba from 2012 to 2023, Sergio Busquets from 2005 to 2023, and Lionel Messi from 2000 to 2021.

The upcoming MLS season begins on February 22, with Inter Miami playing in the opening match. The team, featuring former Barcelona players, will face Real Salt Lake in their first fixture, despite the name similarity with the Madrid-based club.

Beckham’s team will kick off the new year with a friendly match against the Salvadoran national team on January 20. Following that, another friendly awaits against an American team, after which the team will travel to Saudi Arabia. There, they will face Neymar’s team, Al-Hilal, and later take on Al-Nassr with Ronaldo. In early February, Inter Miami will visit Asia for two more friendly matches, concluding their preseason preparation with a home game against the Argentine side Newell’s Old Boys.
