Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo have progressed to the Copa del Rey quarterfinals

In the latest Copa del Rey matches in Spain, Celta Vigo played an away game against Valencia, while Real Sociedad faced Osasuna.

Celta Vigo secured a 3-1 victory against Valencia. The visitors took control early in the match, scoring two goals within the opening 20 minutes. De la Torre found the net on the 13th minute, and five minutes later, Douvikas doubled the lead. Valencia managed to narrow the gap with a penalty goal from Pepe on the 29th minute. Despite having more possession in the second half, the hosts couldn’t create significant goal-scoring opportunities. In the 80th minute, Douvikas completed his brace, sealing the victory for Celta Vigo.

In the Copa del Rey match between Osasuna and Real Sociedad, the first half saw both teams evenly matched, heading into halftime with a goalless draw. However, on the 56th minute, Osasuna faced a setback as defender Catena received a straight red card and was sent off. Oyarzabal capitalized on the ensuing penalty, giving Real Sociedad the lead. In the eighth minute of stoppage time, Mikel Merino found the net, concluding the match with Real Sociedad securing a 2-0 victory.

Real Sociedad secured a 2-0 victory, earning themselves a place in the quarterfinals alongside Celta Vigo.
