Karim Benzema

Benzema could potentially prolong his career in the Premier League, with a top-tier club showing interest

The Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad striker, Karim Benzema, is rumored to be considering a move to the English Premier League.

Manchester United has reportedly shown interest in acquiring the services of the renowned forward, as indicated by Transfer News Live, citing information from Spanish journalist Javier Parra Penu of Fichajes.

Sources suggest that the Manchester-based club is exploring the option of securing the French striker on loan until the conclusion of the current season.

Notably, it was disclosed earlier that Benzema would not be part of Al-Ittihad’s tour to Dubai, having failed to join the team for preseason training within the specified timeframe.

Benzema made his move to Al-Ittihad from Jeddah in the summer of 2023 as a free agent, signing a contract extending until June 2026. In the ongoing season, the 36-year-old striker has participated in twenty matches for Al-Ittihad, scoring twelve goals and contributing five assists.

Previous reports had hinted at the possibility of Benzema returning to his hometown Lyon, with the transfer potentially materializing at the season’s end.
