The Atlético forward might soon join Benzema’s squad
Saudi club Al-Ittihad is reportedly expressing strong interest in acquiring Atlético forward Angel Correa, according to renowned football insider Fabrizio Romano. Romano suggests that the Saudi club is poised to submit an offer to Atlético for the transfer of the 28-year-old Argentine player.
Correa, who joined Atlético in 2015 for a transfer fee of €10.5 million, has been a key player for the Madrid-based team. In the current season, he has participated in 23 matches across all competitions, contributing five goals and one assist. His existing contract with Atlético is set to continue until June 2026.
In recent reports, Atlético was rumored to be considering four players from Girona to bolster its squad. Diego Simeone’s team currently occupies the fifth position in the La Liga standings. The upcoming challenge for Atlético is a Copa del Rey match against Real Madrid on January 18.
