India is no longer atop the World Test Championship standings. Now, who is in charge?
The world rankings for cricket have changed following the conclusion of the 2023–2025 World Test Championship in early January. 24hscore
It is important to remember that, until recently, Australia and India shared the top spot with rankings of 118 apiece, but India had the advantage in points.
The Test matches between the two sides were played in 2023 and 2024. Australia defeated Pakistan three times, while India and South Africa drew one-all in their two games.
Australia moved up to the top with this, with India staying in second place. Bangladesh, New Zealand, and South Africa are tied for third place.
Consequently, India’s hegemony in the three forms of cricket has ended. As you may remember, India became just the second team in men’s cricket history to be ranked #1 in all three forms starting in September of last year.

It should be remembered that the illustrious Australian cricketer David Warner terminated his One-Day International career during the matches versus Pakistan. During his career, the former Australian captain won a World Test Championship, a T20 World Cup, and two World Cups.
