The Japanese dominator Naoya Inoue, who rose to become the undisputed world champion in the second super bantamweight class, was selected as the finest boxer of 2023 by The Ring, the renowned and esteemed journal.

The thirty-year-old boxer won his 26th match in a row.

Remarkably, Inoue had earlier emerged as the first unchallenged lightweight winner since 1973. He gave up those belts and went up in weight, where he was once again the unchallenged winner.

Terence Crawford emerged victorious in the super welterweight division, making him Inoue’s chief rival for the title of best boxer of the year. 24hscore
