With less than three minutes remaining, Immanuel Quickley’s 3-pointer gave the Raptors a two-point lead after they had closed the third quarter with 40 points.

But with nine seconds remaining and Toronto behind by three, Quickley missed a deep three, which effectively ended the game for the Kings.

With 20 points apiece, Quickley and Scottie Barnes led the Raptors. Both Pascal Siakam and Dennis Schroder scored eighteen.

For both teams, all five starters finished with double figures. Toronto was outscored 42–15 by Sacramento from beyond the arc.

Sacramento closed the first half with a 9-0 run, securing a 20-point lead at halftime. Murray hit two consecutive 3-pointers, followed by Monk and Barnes making back-to-back 3s. Fox’s layup, along with a foul, extended the Kings’ lead to 77-57 at halftime.

Sabonis sparked the Kings early with 12 points in the first quarter.

After sending OG Anunoby to New York in exchange for RJ Barrett and Quickley, Toronto had won two straight games—its first winning run since November. The Raptors are currently traveling to the West Coast for six games, and trade speculations are still rife because Siakam is allegedly available.

Gary Trent Jr. was not available for Toronto since he hurt his left quadriceps on Wednesday’s game against Memphis.
