This suspicious betting activity prompted the freezing of the $80,000 bet, preventing its payout. Additionally, the investigation revealed that Porter himself placed multiple bets on NBA games using an associate’s online betting account while travelling with the Raptors or their G League affiliate, Raptors 905, from January through March 2024.
