ATP roundup: Jack Draper wins a decisive game to start Adelaide
Jack Draper, 22, of England easily defeated Sebastian Baez, the fifth seed from Argentina, 6-1, 6-3, in first-round action on Monday at the Adelaide International in Australia.
Draper won the match after 78 minutes with 17 goals and no break points. Next is Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic, who defeated Mackenzie McDonald 6-4, 6-2.
Number six seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry of Argentina was defeated by Russia’s Alexander Shevchenko 7-6 (4), 4-6, 7-5, and Serbia’s Dusan Lajovic overcame Australia’s Thanasi Kokkinakis 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.

In Auckland, New Zealand, Botic Van De Zandschulp of the Netherlands stunned number five seed Christopher Eubanks 7-6 (5), 6-2 by saving the lone break point he faced.
With just five unintentional errors and an impressive 89 percent (25 of 28) first-service points won, the Dutchman advanced to face Chilean qualifier Alejandro Tabilo, who defeated Croatia’s Borna Gojo 1-6, 6-3, 6-2.
The following players also advanced to the second round: Germany’s Daniel Altmaier, Portugal’s Nuno Borges, Japan’s Taro Daniel, Hungary’s Fabian Marozsan, and French qualifiers Alexandre Muller and Luca van Assche.
