PSG Beats Nice to Secure a Spot in the French Cup Semifinals
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) cruised to a comfortable 3-1 victory against Nice on Wednesday, securing their place in the French Cup semifinals.
The match saw Kylian Mbappe shine once again, opening the scoring for PSG in the 14th minute with a clinical finish that threaded the ball between the legs of Nice goalkeeper Marcin Bulka. Mbappe’s goal, a result of a skillful one-two with Fabian Ruiz, set the tone for PSG’s dominant performance.
PSG extended their lead in the 33rd minute when Bulka’s clearance found its way to winger Ousmane Dembele, whose deflected shot fell perfectly for Ruiz to calmly slot into the open net, doubling PSG’s advantage.

Nice managed to pull a goal back just four minutes later when Jeremie Boga embarked on a dazzling run into the box, eventually setting up Gaetan Laborde, who finished with a well-struck half-volley.
However, any hopes of a Nice comeback were dashed when Lucas Beraldo headed home for PSG in the 60th minute, effectively sealing the victory for the Parisian side.
The match was briefly halted following Beraldo’s goal as Bulka sustained a facial injury, requiring medical attention and a change of shirt.
With the win, PSG booked their spot in the semifinals of the French Cup, where they are set to face Stade Rennais on April 3rd. The other semifinal will feature Lyon and Valenciennes, scheduled for the day before.
PSG’s dominant performance against Nice not only showcased their attacking prowess but also highlighted their determination to compete for silverware on multiple fronts. As they march forward in the French Cup, PSG’s ambitions for success remain firmly intact.
