The defender for the England national team will cost Bayern Munich a certain amount
Tottenham’s central defender, Eric Dier, is close to a transfer to Bayern Munich. An official announcement of the transfer could happen in the next few days or even hours. Journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that Bayern Munich has already finalized a personal agreement with the English national team player. Tottenham has also approved the sale of the player, whose contract expires in the summer.
The source claims Bayern will reimburse Spurs with less than five million euros. The Munich squad will offer the defender a contract that will go at least through 2025.
Dier is expected to play as a defensive midfielder and central defense for Bayern, and it has been reported that coach Thomas Tuchel has spoken with him directly.
In the summer of 2014, the 29-year-old Englishman paid 5 million euros to transfer from Sporting Lisbon to Tottenham. He has participated in 364 games for the Spurs in all, tallying 13 goals and dishing out 12 assists. The Englishman has only made four appearances on the pitch this season.
