The World Junior Ice Hockey Championships have identified the second finalist

In the Youth World Championship on Thursday, January 4, the semi-final matches took place. One of these matchups featured the United States against Finland. 24hscore

The Americans initiated the match with high energy, but it was the Finns who struck first on the scoreboard. Despite the USA’s immediate attempts to respond, Finland defended skillfully and managed to secure a second goal. The teams entered the first intermission with Finland leading 2-0.

The second period witnessed a surge in intensity as the USA elevated its aggression. This approach proved fruitful as the U.S. national team executed a comeback, leveling the score with two goals within four minutes.

The decisive moment unfolded in the third period. The match continued with fierce competition, and on the 15th minute, defenseman Kasper Kulonummi received a penalty. Seizing this opportunity, the Americans scored the third goal.

After winning 3-2, the United States advanced to play Sweden in the Youth World Ice Hockey Championship final. The game is scheduled for January 5th, Friday.
