Is Taylor Swift planning to watch the Super Bowl? Her concert tour schedule is quite demanding
Taylor Swift, the NFL’s most well-known fan, made appearances at playoff matchups in Kansas City, Buffalo, and Baltimore to support her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. She was present on Sunday as the Chiefs secured a 17-10 victory against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC championship game, earning them a spot in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas on February 11.

Getting to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas poses a logistical challenge for Taylor Swift.
Swift is slated to conclude the fourth of four shows in her The Eras Tour in Tokyo on the Saturday night preceding the Super Bowl. Considering the 17-hour time difference between Tokyo and Las Vegas, her concert is set to commence at 6 p.m. Tokyo time. Typically running between three and four hours, if the performance concludes at 10 p.m. Tokyo time, it would be around 5 a.m. Saturday in Las Vegas.
The flight from Tokyo to Las Vegas typically spans between 11 and 12 hours. Given that Swift isn’t flying commercially and isn’t subjected to the usual airport processes like security checks and gate waiting, the physical journey to Las Vegas poses no significant issue. In theory, Swift could arrive sometime on Saturday night. The Super Bowl game is scheduled to kick off just after 3:30 p.m. PT on Sunday.
The decision of whether Swift will opt to make the trip remains uncertain. It would undeniably be an arduous week for her, given her consecutive shows in Tokyo from Wednesday to Saturday. Flying back to the United States immediately after her fourth show, enduring a 12-hour flight, and attending a football game before heading to Australia for a concert the following Friday is a considerable demand.
Despite the challenges, Swift has been a consistent presence at Chiefs games throughout the season. Her celebratory reactions, especially during key plays by Kelce or his teammates, have often been captured on TV broadcasts. This was evident after Kelce’s scoring play against the Ravens on Sunday.
Swift joined Kelce on the field for celebratory moments after the game, sharing a warm embrace with him before the team accepted the AFC championship trophy.
In a playful nod to the Swift/Kelce connection, American Airlines decided to get creative. They introduced a special flight from Kansas City to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl with the flight number 1989, coinciding with Swift’s birth year and one of her album names. The return flight is numbered 87, corresponding to Kelce’s jersey number.
Whether Swift opts to attend the Super Bowl in Vegas to support Kelce remains to be seen. If she does, CBS will likely capture her on camera during the broadcast.
