Johannes Thingnes Boe made a successful comeback in the 15km short individual event at Antholz after a period of absence. Following his recovery from illness, the Norwegian displayed dominance throughout and finished with a time of 37 minutes and 28 seconds. Johannes Thingnes Boe marked a strong comeback by securing a win in the 15km short individual event at Antholz. Having faced illness and missed several days in Ruhpolding last week, the Norwegian athlete rebounded effectively, shooting cleanly to stand atop the podium.
Boe showcased dominance throughout all four stages, clinching victory with a time of 37 minutes and 28 seconds. Reflecting on his performance, Boe expressed satisfaction, noting that he was fortunate in Ruhpolding as the illness wasn’t too severe. Despite being out of training for four days, he felt good physically right after.
“I’ve had some training this week, and I’ve felt good every day here. I believe I’ve regained my form,” Boe commented.
In the initial standing shoot, Boe’s teammate, Sturla Holm Laegreid, took the lead but missed two shots in the second prone, causing him to drop behind.
Tarjei Boe secured the second position, trailing his brother by over 90 seconds, while Germany’s Johannes Kuehn claimed the bronze medal.
