John Fury, the father of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, strongly criticized the performance of Sweden’s Otto Wallin against Anthony Joshua.

In their December bout, Anthony Joshua convincingly defeated the Swedish heavyweight, securing victory with a fifth-round technical knockout.

John Fury expressed his disappointment, stating, “When Anthony Joshua faced Otto Wallin, Wallin seemed overwhelmed. He brought embarrassment to his team and himself. It was not the same fighter who went up against Tyson. He didn’t display the grit at all. It was a letdown. He disappointed his people. But if your fighter doesn’t show up on the night, there’s not much you can do. He had a breakdown during the match.”

Throughout the fight, Joshua held a significant advantage and inflicted considerable damage on Wallin, who was later diagnosed with a broken nose.

Anthony Joshua’s upcoming bout is scheduled against former UFC champion Francis Ngannou on March 8 in Saudi Arabia. Notably, the contract for their fight does not include a rematch clause.
