Giannis and LeBron top the polls for the All-Star Game
LeBron James, the star player for the Lakers, and Giannis Antetokounmpo from Milwaukee are currently leading the fan voting for the upcoming NBA All-Star Game.
The NBA has revealed the interim results of the voting, with the two forwards, Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James, securing the highest number of votes. Antetokounmpo has garnered 4.3 million votes, while LeBron James is close behind with 3.93 million votes.
In the Eastern Conference, the top three vote-getters also include Joel Embiid from Philadelphia and Jason Tatum from the Boston Celtics. In the Western Conference, joining LeBron in the leading trio are Nikola Jokić from Denver and Kevin Durant from Phoenix.
It’s important to note that when selecting the All-Star Game teams, fan balloting holds a 50% weight, with an additional 25% coming from both the media and league players. The All-Star Game for this year is scheduled to take place on February 18.
