The Tottenham midfield is eager to go back to Croatia
Tottenham’s midfielder, Ivan Perišić, is reportedly on the brink of a return to his native Croatia with Hajduk Split, according to information shared by journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Sources indicate that negotiations are advancing positively and are nearing completion. Ivan Perišić has expressed a strong desire to make a comeback to Croatia, and Tottenham is willing to facilitate this by loaning the player until the end of the season. Perisic initiated his football journey in the youth academy of Hajduk, located in his hometown of Split, spending around 11 years in the club’s academy before making a move to the French side, Sochaux.
Having joined Tottenham Hotspur as a free agent on May 31, 2022, Perišić became the fifth Croatian player in the club’s history. His debut for the club took place on July 23, with a match against Rangers (2-1). On August 6, he made his Premier League debut, entering as a substitute in the second half for Ryan Sessegnon during the home match against Southampton (4-1).
A silver medalist in the 2018 World Cup, Perisic holds a prominent position among the top three players in terms of both matches played and goals scored for the Croatian national team.
