NBA Commissioner Adam Silver provided his reflections on the tournament that concluded a month ago, expressing overall satisfaction with the results.
“We are content with the success of the inaugural season, and it is certain to make a return next year, possibly with a few adjustments,” he mentioned.
Furthermore, ongoing discussions with television partners are in progress to determine the optimal timing for the tournament, and there may be considerations for making some changes to the format.
It’s noteworthy that in a recent NBA game between the Lakers and Toronto, referees made two mistakes towards the end of the match. The initial error happened when they did not call a foul on Austin Rivers, with Barnes committing an offensive foul by incorrectly setting a screen.
In another instance, officials failed to observe that RJ Barrett struck Anthony Davis on the arm while he was in possession of the ball. Consequently, the Lakers’ center lost possession of the ball.
