Dorothea Wierer will miss the second consecutive stage of the World Cup, following her absence in Oberhof. Unfortunately, she won’t be traveling to Ruhpolding, another German city, due to ongoing health issues. Despite initial plans to prepare for the Ruhpolding stage, Wierer’s health problems persist, with reports indicating a recent rise in her temperature.

It is anticipated that Wierer will be able to make her return to competition during the home stage in Antholz. In her absence, the Italian national team lineup for the upcoming competition includes Hannah Auchentaller, Lisa Vittozzi, Samuela Comola, Rebecca Passler, Michela Carrara, and Beatrice Trabucchi.

As of now, Dorothea Wierer holds the 24th position in the overall World Cup standings, having accumulated a total of 123 points. Her fans and the sports community are eagerly awaiting her return to the competitive scene once her health allows.
